Energy saving paint - Isopaint Silicone Facade

This image compares two houses' heat patterns.

The house on the left has been coated with Ecocoat Silicone Facade energy saving masonry paint and the house on the right has been coated with normal masonry paint.

The house on the left demonstrates that with the use of Ecocoat Silicone Facade water ingress will be dramatically reduced, resulting in dry walls, which will result in less energy being consumed within the household.

All masonry surfaces are attacked by rain, dirt and UV degradation. Damage to the masonry surface due to water ingress, dirt pick up and UV degradation can cause the surface to display cracking, spalling and salt efflorescence. This will result in the masonry surface breaking down allowing more moisture to penetrate into the building.

The more moisture penetration into a building the greater the amount of energy that has to be expended to retain an ambient room temperature. The solution to reducing energy bills is to keep exterior wall surfaces as dry as possible.

The application of a hydrophobic (water repellent) masonry coating such as Ecocoat silicone facade will result in a considerable reduction in water ingress, creating dry walls as the dampness dries out and will lead to using less energy.
